O365 ADMINISTRATION

  • Connected onemarslane.com to 0365 Development

  • Imported sample user data and mail

  • Gave access to every inbox to myself for review

  • Tested email functions

MYSQL & MSSQL

  • Started taking an online course in MYSQL and Microsoft SQL DBA

  • Learned how to create a database from a query

  • Learned the basics of creating a table and inputting data and setting values.

  • Learned the procedure of backing up a database, deleting, and restoring

UBUNTU SERVER

  • Setup a SAMBA share and was able to get connect from a Windows machine

  • Setup SSH and configured an SFTP server with users and groups

  • Forwarded sftp.onemarslane.com to my SFTP server on a Virtual Machine

  • Connected to SFTP using sftp.onemarslane.com as the address on Filezilla from an outside network


Future Interests UPDATED 05/02/2021

CCNA Certification

I have always had a interest in networking and how traffic is routed and the complexity of setting up items like Access Control List that can make or break your network. It is one of those things I would rather do hands on and have a homelab setup vs a simulation like Packet Tracer.

Python Programming

One of those things I picked up quite easily but didn't follow through with, I enjoyed a introductory course I took in college. It was fun debugging code trying to solve the puzzle. Also seeing how many solutions could produce the same outcome.

Penetration Testing

Cyber security is one of things were you could be the guy preventing an attack or be the one attacking. It amazes me that people get paid to try and break something, it something is needed as the world becomes more and more computerized.
